Saturday Sauce is a Middle Eastern starter sauce that can be enjoyed on its own or as a building base for a variety of dishes. This tomato-based sauce is slightly spicy
and can be used as a marinade, stew or soup base, dip addition, and of course, to make Shakshuka (just add eggs).
HOW TO ENJOY:
Perfect for spreading, spooning, dipping, or cooking with. Eat it straight out of the jar or use it to make one of our recipes.

Amy Dell founded Sababa Foods in 2024, inspired by her father, a former chef and restaurateur, whose matbucha was a family staple. As she grew older, Amy continued to make this dish, cooking in large batches and freezing it for convenience. Impelled to share the recipe, she created Sababa Foods to offer authentic Middle Eastern dishes with a modern twist. Their signature Saturday Sauce, made in small batches with love, features fresh, natural ingredients, including select organic ones chosen with the EWG’s Dirty Dozen in mind.
