With winter on its way, we're still experiencing summer withdrawals and craving those warm days at the beach. Enter LAKA KAKE, a sprinkle of this adaptogenic-packed furikake got us feeling like we’re on vacation on an island in Hawaii. The Laka Living team whipped up a delish Teriyaki Tempeh salad that pairs perfectly with Laka Kake, check it out!
INGREDIENTS:
SALAD:
- 1 small head of lettuce
- 1/4 cup red cabbage shreds
- 2 tbsp black olives
- 3 artichoke hearts
- 1/2 cup microgreens
- juice of half a lemon
- 1/2 cup teriyaki tempeh*
- 3 tbsp Ginger-Tahini dressing*
- avocado cubes
- 2 tsp Laka Kake
TERIYAKI TEMPEH*
- Tempeh
- 3 tbsp sesame oil
- 1 tsp ginger powder
- 2 tsp Liquid aminos
GINGER TAHINI DRESSING*
- 1 jar of Tahini C
- 1/2 cup water
- 3 tbsp maple syrup
- 1 inch knob ginger
- 1 tbsp mustard
- 3 tbsp sesame oil
- pinch sea salt
WHIP IT UP:
- Add all of the salad ingredients to a bowl
- Preheat pan
- Dice the tempeh
- Add sesame oil, ginger powder, liquid aminos, and diced tempeh to pan
- Pan fry Tempeh until crispy
- Blend all dressing ingredients on high until smooth
- Toss the salad and dressing in a bowl and then add crispy tempeh on top
- Top with some more Laka Kake!
