hand-picked green tea leaves
We read the label so you don't have to. Each and every product listed goes through our rigorous Bubble Goods Approval Process.
Earthy, umami, and sweet, this tea is a delicate treat that was hand-harvested and hand-crafted in Kyoto, Japan by our farm partner. This baby is grown in full sunlight, thus giving it that spunky yellow-green color that is on the plant. During the processing, Sencha is steamed, resulting in a lightly grassy, earthy flavor. The steamed leaves are then rolled into tight little pin needles. Sencha also contains more catechin than other green teas - full of natural antioxidants! Uproot partners directly with small family farms to support regenerative agriculture. Moreover, it comes with the perfect brewing instructions to make sure your tea doesn’t go bitter or astringent.

MORE ABOUT UPROOT TEAS:
MEET THE MAKER
As a first-gen Asian American, I grew up drinking tea as a way to connect with my family. Through my economics research, I learned of the inequities in the tea industry that lead to poor outcomes for independent farmers.
I started Uproot to celebrate the culture of drinking real, farm-to-cup tea leaves - no added flavoring nor toxic teabags, while partnering directly with growers. We pay farm partners 20-100x fair trade prices by eliminating middlepeople, supporting sustainable ag. We use only 100% compostable packaging.
We're about to have the best tea ever!
