Your Product Titles & Descriptions: Get Found, Get Clicked, Get Sold

Your Product Copy Should Work For You

Your product title and description are doing more work than you think.

They tell shoppers what your product is, why they need it, and how to use it. They help the Bubble Goods marketplace understand where your product belongs. They give our search engines the language they need to match your product with the right search. And increasingly, they give our AI-powered tools the information they need to understand, compare, and recommend your products.

In other words, your product copy is product data.

The brands that take the time to make that data clear, specific, and rich in the language their customers actually search for give themselves more opportunities to be discovered.

Check out listings from Olivea, they're doing a great job!

Think beyond the product name

A common mistake is making your product title sound like the name on the package.

For example:

Basic:
Extra Virgin Olive Oil

More discoverable on Bubble Goods:
High-Phenolic Extra Virgin Olive Oil | Polyphenol-Rich Olive Oil

The second title tells shoppers and Bubble Goods AI system much more about what makes the product distinctive.

If you sell an olive oil product, for example, relevant language might include:

  • Seed oil free
  • Polyphenols
  • Antioxidants
  • High-phenolic
  • Extra virgin olive oil
  • Hydroxytyrosol
  • Cold pressed
  • Single origin
  • Early harvest

The goal isn't to stuff every possible keyword into your listing. It's to naturally and accurately describe the attributes, benefits, ingredients, formats, and use cases that make your product relevant to a search.

Your Title

A strong product title should quickly communicate:

What is it? + What makes it different? + What would someone search for?

For example:

Less optimized:
Green Goddess

More optimized for Bubble Goods:
Organic Green Goddess Dressing | Avocado Oil | Seed Oil Free

Or:

Less optimized:
The Daily

More optimized for Bubble Goods:
Daily Electrolyte Powder | Magnesium + Potassium | No Added Sugar

Or:

Less optimized:
Golden Oil

More optimized for Bubble Goods:
High-Phenolic Extra Virgin Olive Oil | Polyphenol Rich

Your brand's creative product name can absolutely stay. Just don't make the creative name do all the work.

We recommend putting the most important product details toward the beginning of the title and using specific attributes that help connect the product to a shopper's search.

Your Description = your keyword universe

Your description gives you much more room to explain your product.

Think about all the different ways a potential customer might describe what they're looking for.

If you're selling a high-phenolic olive oil, for example, your description might naturally explain:

  • What high-phenolic means
  • The polyphenol content
  • Hydroxytyrosol
  • Antioxidants
  • How the olive oil is produced
  • Where the olives come from
  • What makes it different from conventional olive oil
  • How customers use it
  • Whether it is seed oil free
  • Flavor profile
  • Harvest information

This gives search engines and AI systems a much richer understanding of the product than simply saying:

"A delicious, premium olive oil made with the finest ingredients."

Give your listing an audit using AI

One of the easiest things you can do today is use AI to review your existing product page.

Take your product URL and run it through ChatGPT, Perplexity, or Claude. Ask the model to identify the language your product should be using to improve discoverability.

Here's an example prompt we recommend:

I sell this product on Bubble Goods: [PASTE YOUR BUBBLE GOODS PRODUCT URL]. Analyze the product page for SEO and Answer Engine Optimization (AEO). I want this product to be easier for shoppers, search engines, marketplaces, and AI assistants to understand and discover. And;

  1. Identify the primary product category and what shoppers are most likely searching for.
  2. Identify 10–20 relevant keywords and search terms that accurately describe this product.
  3. Identify important ingredients, benefits, attributes, dietary preferences, certifications, use cases, and differentiators that are currently missing or underemphasized.
  4. Rewrite the product title to be specific, search-friendly, and compelling while keeping the brand/product name recognizable.
  5. Rewrite the product description using the most relevant terms naturally, without keyword stuffing or making claims that aren't supported by the page.
  6. Identify questions a shopper might ask an AI assistant about this product and make sure the product page contains enough information to answer them.
  7. Give me a final recommended title and description that I can use on my Bubble Goods marketplace listing.

Important: Do not invent product attributes, ingredients, certifications, health claims, or benefits that are not supported by the source page.

Then take the recommendations and make sure the final copy sounds like your brand. AI is a tool for finding the language and gaps. You are still the expert on your product!

Your product page is part of how your product sells

Your product title and description should work everywhere your brand shows up.

The better your product data, the more opportunities you create for the right customer to find you.

Don't just name your product. Describe why someone is searching for it!
