Apis Mercantile was founded in 2017 by Liam Becker and John Berdux. After starting a backyard apiary in college, both Liam and John were hooked on honey. Since those first backyard beehives, we have grown our network of beekeepers so that we're able to offer regional wildflower honey and rare, single-varietal honey that's flavor is a true reflection of the blossom the honey bees foraged to make it.

Fun Fact: Our company name Apis Mercantile is inspired by the Latin name for the Western honeybee Apis mellifera.
