Technically a seed, teff is considered one of the smallest fine grains on the planet. Grown in Ethiopia and Eritrea, it's highly nutritious and feeds beneficial gut bacteria. Teff comes in white/ivory and brown. White/ivory teff has a milder flavor, while brown teff has an earthier taste. Teff cooks up into a rich porridge - enjoy with some honey for breakfast, or spice it up as a polenta alternative.
