Our name, Ahara Rasa (Ah-hah-rah Ruh-Sah), comes from Sanskrit and means “the essence of food,” the subtle energy we receive when digestion is strong and nourishment is complete.We are a small batch ghee business based in the Pacific Northwest, guided by Indian heritage. Ghee making is part of our cultural story, passed down through generations. Ahara Rasa Ghee is strictly made the traditional way, over an open flame.
